Man Killed in Sacramento Pedestrian Crash at Fruitridge Road and Wallace Avenue

Sacramento, California (October 24, 2019) – A man was killed in a suspected hit-and-run pedestrian accident early Wednesday morning in Sacramento, according to a local news source.
The crash happened at the Fruitridge Road and Wallace Avenue intersection at about 5:35 a.m. October 23.
According to the news source, a man was walking westbound in the eastbound lanes of Fruitridge Road when he was hit by a vehicle.
The involved driver fled the scene after the crash.
Man Killed in South Sacramento Pedestrian Crash
The pedestrian was killed in the accident. His identity was not immediately released pending notification of the next of kin.
The authorities are searching for the hit-and-run driver.
Many pedestrians are hurt and several others killed in accidents in California every year.
