Pedestrian Killed in Lake Elsinore Crash at Riverside Drive and Joy Street
Lake Elsinore, California (October 20, 2019) – A pedestrian was hit and killed by a vehicle at an intersection in Lake Elsinore on Saturday evening, according to the authorities.
The crash happened just before 9 p.m. October 19, at Riverside Drive and Joy Street.
Authorities said a person was hit by a vehicle for unknown reasons.
Person Killed in Lake Elsinore Pedestrian Accident
The victim was pronounced deceased at the scene of the crash.
No further details were released.
The Riverside County Sheriff’s Department is investigating the incident.
Many pedestrians are hurt and several others killed in accidents in California every year. The causes of many of these pedestrian accidents include distracted driving, speeding, drunk driving, reckless driving, bad weather, wrong-way driving and failure to observe traffic laws. It is evident that negligence on the part of motorists is the leading cause of these accidents.
