Auburn, California (October 17, 2019) – One person died and two others were injured after being struck by a car in Auburn on Wednesday morning.

The fatal auto-pedestrian accident happened at about 2 a.m. on Cleveland Avenue near Lincoln Way, according to a local news source.

26-year-old Skylar Perry is reported to have been driving a car on the roadway when he struck two pedestrians in front of Bob and Betty’s One Sixty Club.

One of the pedestrians was treated at the scene while a second person was transported to the hospital for treatment.

Skylar Perry Arrested after Fatal Pedestrian Accident on Cleveland Avenue

Perry is reported to have continued and struck a third person on the roadway. Sadly, the pedestrian succumbed to injuries.

The identities of the victims of the crash were not immediately disclosed.

Perry fled the scene after the accident but was later located and arrested at his home in Foresthill on Wednesday night.

No further information was provided.

An investigation to determine the cause of the accident is ongoing.
