San Diego, CA: Security Guard Struck, Injured by Truck on Cactus Court, October 10
81-Year-Old Man Badly Injured in San Diego Pedestrian Accident on Cactus Court Thursday night
San Diego, California (October 11, 2019) – A 81-year-old security guard was struck and seriously injured by a freight company truck Thursday night in Otay Mesa, San Diego, authorities said.
The accident happened at about 11:15 p.m. Thursday, October 10 in the 6900 block of Cactus Court.
According to the authorities, the 81-year-old security guard was working inspecting door seals at the gate to the yard when a 50-year-old man driving a 2019 Volvo TR Tractor pulled forward and ran over his legs.
The elderly man sustained major injuries and was taken to a hospital. His name and current condition were not immediately disclosed.
No other information was immediately disclosed about the drive of the Tractor.
The crash remains under investigation.
