30-Year-Old Man Killed in Spring Valley Accident at Monte Vista High School on Sweetwater Springs Boulevard
Spring Valley, California (October 10, 2019) – A construction worker was on Wednesday afternoon killed in a fall accident at the Monte Vista High School in Spring Valley.
According to a local news source, the accident happened just before 2 p.m. October 9, at the school on Sweetwater Springs Boulevard.
The report indicates that a 30-year-old ironworker was connecting beams on a 30-foot platform when a beam struck him, causing him to fall to the ground.
Man Dies in Spring Valley Construction Accident
The victim was rushed to Sharp Grossmont Hospital in La Mesa, where he was pronounced deceased.
Another worker was treated for minor injuries.
The San Diego office of Cal/OSHA is investigating the crash.
