Edwin Harshman ID’d as Man Killed in South Lake Tahoe Crash on Highway 50 near Lakeland Village
South Lake Tahoe, California (October 9, 2019) – The man who was killed in a hit-and-run crash on Sunday night in South Lake Tahoe has been identified as Edwin Harshman, 78, of South Lake Tahoe.
According to police, the crash happened shortly before 8 p.m. October 6, on Highway 50 near Lakeland Village.
Harshman was walking across Highway 50 outside of a crosswalk when he was struck by an eastbound vehicle.

Harshman was killed in the crash.
Police said the driver who fled the scene was operating a dark sedan, possibly a Toyota Camry.
A suspect, later identified as Marlin Cruz, 20, was arrested and booked into El Dorado County Jail for felony hit-and-run.
The South Lake Tahoe police are investigating the incident.
