John Moua Injured in Motorcycle Accident on Ashlan Avenue in Clovis
John Moua Hurt in Clovis Motorcycle Crash on Ashlan Avenue near Highland Avenue
Clovis, California (October 6, 2019) – The person who was injured in a fatal traffic accident early Saturday morning in Clovis has been identified as John Moua, 34.
The crash happened at around 12:05 a.m. Saturday, October 5 on Ashlan Avenue near Highland Avenue.
According to authorities, Youa Xiong, 32, was riding a Kawasaki motorcycle eastbound on Ashlan Avenue when she veered onto the shoulder of the road and lost control of the bike.
Xiong was ejected into the westbound lane where she was hit by a Toyota Camry driven by Abir Ballat, 57.
Moua was behind Xiong when the accident happened. He attempted to avoid her, but also was thrown from his Suzuki motorcycle.
Xiong was sadly pronounced deceased at the scene. Moua sustained moderate injuries following the crash.
The driver of the Corolla remained at the scene and cooperated with the authorities.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
