Alexander Vasquez Killed in Oxnard Pedestrian Accident at Cooper Road and Anita Avenue
Oxnard, California (October 1, 2019) – Authorities have identified the 8-year-old boy killed in Oxnard pedestrian accident as Alexander Vasquez.
The deadly accident happened at around 7:40 a.m. Monday, September 30, at Cooper Road and Anita Avenue, outside of Ramona School.
As per the authorities, Vasquez, a student at Cesar Chavez School, was walking in a marked crosswalk along with a woman and a 9-year-old girl when they were struck by a 17-year-old girl in a 2002 Chevrolet van. The van driver had just dropped her sister’s kid off at the school when the crash happened.
Boy Struck and Killed by Van in Oxnard Identified
Responding firefighters rushed Alexander to Ventura County Medical Center where he was declared dead.
The 9-year-old girl and the woman were severely hurt in the crash.
No other details regarding this crash were provided.
An investigation is underway.
