Joseph Zigler ID’d as Man Killed in Paso Robles Pedestrian Crash near 13th Street Overpass
Paso Robles, California (September 29, 2019) – The man who was fatally run over by a city maintenance vehicle Thursday morning in Paso Robles has been identified as Joseph Zigler, 27.
The incident happened at around 10:30 a.m. Thursday, September 19 on a dirt road near the 13th Street overpass.
Authorities said a Paso Robles city public works truck ran over Zigler who was lying on the ground. The dirt road leads to a riverbank where many homeless people live.
Zigler was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Police said alcohol and drugs were unlikely factors in the crash. The driver of the truck stayed at the scene and notified the authorities.
The cause of the accident remains under investigation.
