26-Year-old Toyita Martinez ID’d as Person Killed in Hayward Pedestrian Crash near Leidig Street
Hayward, California (September 27, 2019) – The pedestrian who was hit and killed by a train on Tuesday evening in Hayward has been identified as Toyita Martinez, 26, according to a local news source.
The incident was reported at about 6:19 p.m. September 24, near Leidig Street.
It’s unclear what led to the pedestrian being hit by the Capitol Corridor train 543 on the tracks. The train was traveling to San Jose from Sacramento when the accident occurred.
Toyita Martinez died in the crash.
The accident is under investigation.
