Eric Jensen Killed in Napa Motorcycle Accident on Berryessa Knoxville Road
Eric Jensen ID’d as Motorcyclist Killed in Napa Crash on Berryessa Knoxville Road near Berryessa Drive
Napa, California (September 20, 2019) – Authorities have identified the motorcyclist who died in a traffic accident that happened Wednesday evening near Lake Berryessa in Napa as Eric Jensen, 39, of Napa.
The deadly wreck occurred at around 6:09 p.m. Wednesday, September 18 on Berryessa Knoxville Road near Berryessa Drive.
According to the California Highway Patrol, Jensen was riding his motorcycle northbound on Berryessa Knoxville Road at a high rate of speed when a Chevrolet driven by Justin Novack of Stevinson, pulled out in front of him.
Novack was turning onto the road off of Berryessa Drive and stopped on Berryessa Drive at the intersection with Berryessa Knoxville Road. He then entered Berryessa Knoxville Road. Due to Jensen’s high speed, he struck the left side of the Chevrolet.
Jensen was ejected from his bike upon the impact and died at the scene.
Novack complained of pain following the crash.
There were no reports of arrests. Alcohol or drugs were not considered factors in the crash
The CHP is still investigating the cause of the accident.
