Tabitha Boyd Dies after Oxnard Pedestrian Accident on Ventura Road

Oxnard, California (September 13, 2019) – Authorities have identified 37-year-old Tabitha Boyd as the pedestrian killed after an alleged hit-and-run crash on Wednesday night in the area of Oxnard, according to authorities.
The crash occurred on Ventura Road, near Juniper Street at around 11:36 p.m. Wednesday, September 11.
As per the CHP officials, Boyd, a transient, was walking in the northbound lanes on Ventura Road when she was hit by a car for unknown reasons. The pedestrian was then hit by several vehicles.

Responding emergency crews pronounced the woman dead at the scene.
According to the authorities, the first driver did not stop to render aid after the collision but fled the scene. The involved car was described as a dark-colored SUV.
It was also reported that other involved motorist also fled the scene after the crash.
An investigation is underway.
