4 Hospitalized After Goleta Car Accident on Highway 101

Goleta, California (September 11, 2019) – A total of five people were injured in a traffic collision in the area of Goleta on Tuesday afternoon, according to a California Highway Patrol report.
The collision happened at around 1:35 p.m. September 10, on Highway 101 west of Goleta.
As per the CHP report, a white Ford F-350 making a left turn from Highway 101 onto Las Varas Canyon Road was struck by a silver Toyota Tundra that was traveling southbound. Due to the impact, both vehicles ended up in a ditch, according to the Santa Barbara County Fire Department.
2 Critically Injured in Goleta Car Accident
The male driver of the Toyota Tundra sustained minor injuries, and his female passenger suffered major injuries. A male infant in the Tundra suffered moderate injuries.
The male driver of the Ford was treated at the scene, but his male passenger suffered serious injuries following the wreck.
Three ambulances transported the four injured victims to the hospital.
The CHP is investigating the cause of the accident.
