Rider Severely Injured in Byron Motorcycle Accident on Vasco Road near Camino Diablo
Bryon, California (September 10, 2019) – A rider was severely hurt after a traffic collision early Tuesday morning in the area of Byron, Contra Costa County, according to authorities.
The collision was reported at about 4:59 a.m. Tuesday, at the intersection of Vasco Road and Camino Diablo.
As per the CHP officials, a Nissan or a Toyota sedan was heading on the southbound side of the roadway when its driver reportedly turned in front of an oncoming Harley Davidson motorcycle. The bike then to T-boned the driver’s side of the vehicle at the junction.

Responding paramedics attended to the rider who suffered severe injuries as a result of the crash. The rider was airlifted to John Muir Medical Center in Walnut Creek for treatment. The name of the patient and their current condition were not immediately available.
Authorities issued a SigAlert closing Vasco Road between Camino Diablo and Walnut Boulevard.
Officials did not mention whether the driver of the involved remained at the scene following the crash.
An investigation is underway.
