San Diego, California (September 10, 2019) – Jo Eager has been identified as the person injured after a helicopter crash Tuesday afternoon in El Cajon, San Diego, according to authorities.

The crash occurred on Gillespie Field near Kenney Street at around 2:10 p.m. Tuesday, September 3.

As per the CHP officials, a Bell 206B helicopter flipped onto its side while landing and it hit the ground.

Responding firefighters extricated Eager and the pilot from the aircraft before smoke started coming out of the plane and it burst into flames. Eager was taken to Sharp Memorial Hospital in San Diego for treatment of injuries of unknown degree. Eager was later released from the hospital.

No other information concerning this crash was provided.

An investigation by the FAA and the National Transportation Safety Board is underway.
