Pedestrian Killed on San Jose Crash on Story Road near Highway 101

San Jose, California (September 2, 2019) – A pedestrian was killed in a hit-and-run collision early Tuesday morning in San Jose, according to the police.
The crash took place just after 4 a.m. on Story Road just off Highway 101.
Police said a pedestrian was hit by two cars in the westbound lanes of Story Road.

The victim was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Police closed Story Road westbound as the scene was examined and cleared.
Police are conducting an investigation into the incident.
Many pedestrians are hurt and several others killed in accidents in California every year. The causes of many of these pedestrian accidents include distracted driving, speeding, drunk driving, reckless driving, bad weather, wrong-way driving and failure to observe traffic laws. It is evident that negligence on the part of motorists is the leading cause of these accidents.
