Man Killed in Keyes Truck Accident at Keyes Road and Foote Road
Keyes, California (August 12, 2019) – An elderly man was killed Monday afternoon in a traffic collision at an intersection in Keyes, according to authorities.
The fatal accident took place at around 12:38 p.m. at Keyes Road and Foote Road.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the man was driving his Ford northbound on Foote Road when he failed to stop at a stop sign at Keyes Road and was broadsided by an eastbound big rig, which did not have a stop sign.
The big rig then struck another big rig that was waiting to turn south onto Foote from the westbound lane of Keyes.

The Ford driver, who has not been identified pending notification of family, was declared dead at the scene.
The drivers of the two big rigs were not injured.
Keyes Road was blocked in the area for several hours as the investigation took place.
The CHP is investigating the crash.
