Santa Barbara, California (July 23, 2019) – A tree trimmer was hospitalized after an accident that occurred on Monday in Santa Barbara, according to the authorities.

The incident took place near Bath Street and Los Olivos Street on Monday, July 22.

Authorities said the man was part of Rancho Tree Care crew trimming trees next to power lines.

The man reportedly went down inside the extension bucket.

The emergency crews with the Santa Barbara City Fire and AMR responded to the incident and attended to the injured worker.

After receiving first aid at the scene, the worker was transported to Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital.

The crash led to the closure of Bath Street in the area of Los Olivos for several hours.
