Shawn Milton Killed, 2 Injured in Fresno Car Crash on Kings Canyon Road and Maple Avenue
Fresno, California (July 22, 2019) – The man who was killed in a two-vehicle collision on Saturday night in southeast Fresno has been identified as Shawn Milton, 40, according to Fresno police.
The crash took place at Kings Canyon Road and Maple Avenue on Saturday, July 20.
Police said a car traveling southbound on Maple Avenue collided with a vehicle heading west on Kings Canyon Road. The driver of the westbound vehicle allegedly ran a red light, leading to the collision.

The driver of the southbound car, identified as Milton, was pronounced deceased at the scene. His passenger was hospitalized with major injuries.
The man driving the second vehicle, who was the only occupant of the car, was also severely injured. He was arrested on suspicion of felony vehicular manslaughter and DUI.
The Fresno Police Department is investigating the incident.
