72-Year-Old Woman Struck and Killed by 16-Year-Old Driver on Arden Way in Carmichael
1 Killed, 1 Injured in Sacramento Pedestrian Accident on Arden Way

Sacramento, California (March 23, 2019) – A teenage driver struck two elderly women killing one of them in the Carmichael area of Sacramento on Friday morning, according to the CHP.
The accident occurred on Arden Way near McClaren Drive at an unspecified time in the morning of Friday, March 22.
The CHP said a 16-year-old girl was driving a car westbound on Arden Way when she drifted off the roadway and struck two women who were walking on the shoulder.

Both women were rushed to a hospital with major injuries and one of them later succumbed to her injuries.
The teenage driver reportedly remained at the scene and cooperated with the authorities.
CHP said alcohol and drugs did not appear to have played a role in the crash.
An investigation to determine the cause of the accident is ongoing.
