Man Dies in Concord Pedestrian Accident at Willow Pass Road and Parkside Drive
Concord, California (December 14, 2019) – A man was struck and killed by a vehicle on Friday night in Concord, according to the authorities.
The crash was reported at around 9:34 p.m. December 13, at Willow Pass Road and Parkside Drive.
Concord police said a vehicle was traveling eastbound on Willow Pass Road when it struck a pedestrian riding on a wheelchair.
Man Killed in Concord Pedestrian Accident
The victim, identified as a 63-year-old man, was transported to a hospital, where he was pronounced deceased.
The woman driving the involved vehicle, a 31-year-old from Antioch, was unhurt and remained at the scene.
Police said the pedestrian was crossing the road outside of the crosswalk when he was hit.
Alcohol and drugs were not suspected to be factors in the crash.
The incident is under investigation.
