3 Children, 3 Adults Hospitalized after Lebec Crash on Interstate 5 near Fort Tejon State Park

Lebec, California (January 3, 2021) – Six people were injured Saturday afternoon in a single-vehicle rollover crash in Lebec, according to a local news source.
The accident happened at about 1:16 p.m. Saturday, January 2, on northbound Interstate 5 near Fort Tejon State Park.
According to the California Highway Patrol, a GMC was traveling northbound on Interstate 5 when the driver made a sudden left turn onto the left shoulder from the No. 2 lane. As a result, the GMC crashed into a guardrail and rolled down an embankment.

A 7-year-old sustained major injuries while two adults and a 9-year-old suffered moderate injuries in the crash. A 27-year-old and a 2-year-old had minor injuries.
The CHP said all patients were transported to Kern Medical for treatment. Their names and current condition were not immediately disclosed.
Police closed all lanes of northbound Interstate 5 due to the crash
