Long Beach Man, 51, Dies in Long Beach Pedestrian Crash on Santa Fe Avenue and 16th Street

Long Beach, California (June 8, 2019) – A 51-year-old man was killed in an auto-pedestrian collision that took place on Sunday night in Long Beach.
According to the Long Beach police, the crash took place a around 10 p.m. June 2, in the area of Santa Fe Avenue and 16th Street.
Police said the man was in the middle of the road trying to cross the intersection outside of the crosswalk when he was hit by a northbound vehicle.
Officers and paramedics responded to the incident and located an unresponsive male down in the roadway.
Man Dies in Long Beach Pedestrian Crash
The victim was rushed to a hospital, where he was pronounced deceased early morning the next day.
The victim’s identity was not released pending notification of the next of kin.
The involved driver remained at the scene and did not show any signs of intoxication, police said.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
