5 Injured in Multi-Car Accident on Highway 99 in Willows
Five People Injured in Highway 99 Crash

Willows, California (May 13, 2019) – Five people were injured Sunday afternoon in a traffic accident near Willows, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The crash was reported at about 1:00 p.m. Sunday, May 12 at Highway 99 and County Road 18.
The CHP said a Toyota Tacoma driven by Lianxay Louankang, 58, of Corning, was heading westbound on County Road 18 approaching the intersection of Highway 99. Louankang allegedly failed to yield to traffic on Highway 99W and was struck by a Chevy Silverado operated by Clint Johns, 25, of Orland.
The Silverado then struck the right side of the Toyota. The force of the impact caused the Toyota to slam into an olive tree.

One passenger in the Toyota was taken to Enloe Medical Center with major injuries. Three other people had minor injuries.
Neither drugs nor alcohol were factors in the crash. An investigation into the wreck is underway.
