Phelan, California (June 10, 2020) – One person was flown to the hospital with major injuries following a head-on collision in Phelan, San Bernardino County, on Wednesday morning.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident happened on Highway 138 between Sheep Creek Road and Highway 2 at about 8:14 a.m.

A GMC pickup truck is reported to have collided head-on with a minivan for unknown reasons.

One person was seriously injured in the accident and was flown to an out of area trauma center in critical condition.

Four other people were transported to the hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.

No additional information about the accident was provided.

The CHP is investigating the cause of the accident.
