Sawtelle, California (October 17, 2020) – Two men and a woman were hospitalized after a vehicle crashed into a building on Friday afternoon in Sawtelle, Los Angeles, authorities said.

The crash happened at about 4:00 p.m., on October 16, in the 11600 block of West Santa Monica Boulevard, near Barry Avenue.

According to the police, the vehicle crashed into a Sawtelle hair salon. The factors that contributed to the accident are yet to be established.

Three people were trapped in the wreckage and were extricated by the first responders, officials said.

The three freed parties were hospitalized with minor injuries. It was not clear if the patients were in the car or in the building.

As per the authority’s report, the building was structurally compromised as a result of the crash.

An investigation into the accident is underway.
