3 Hurt in Wrong-Way Crash on Interstate 805 in San Diego
3 Injured in San Diego Car Accident on Interstate 805 near Interstate 8

San Diego, California (March 16, 2019) – Three drivers were injured Saturday morning in a fiery crash in San Diego, according to a local news source.
The accident happened just before 3:00 a.m. on Interstate 805 near the Interstate 8 connector.
According to the California Highway Patrol, a Mitsubishi Lancer was traveling the wrong way on southbound Interstate 805 when it collided with a Toyota SUV. Both vehicles then burst into flames.

Both drivers sustained life-threatening injuries and taken to a local hospital.
Another vehicle acquired minor damages in the crash. That driver sustained minor injuries.
It’s undetermined if alcohol or drugs were suspected factors in the accident.
The crash caused the closure of a portion of Interstate 805 was shut down while emergency crews worked to clear the scene, but was reopened before 7 a.m.
The crash remains under investigation.
