3 Injured, Julie Ann Rainbird Arrested in Tarzana Motorhome Accident at Tampa Avenue and Wells Street

Tarzana, California (May 22, 2019) – At least three people were hospitalized Tuesday night after a high police-speed pursuit ended in a traffic accident in Tarzana, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The collision was reported at around 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 21, at Tampa Avenue and Wells Street.
The accident happened when a woman driving with two dogs on her lap led police on a dangerous high-speed chase in a large motorhome through the San Fernando Valley Tuesday night. The vehicle crashed into at least two other cars during the chase. The race ended up when the RV collided with a sedan at the Tarzana intersection.
Authorities said a total of six vehicles were damaged during the chase. At least three people sustained unspecified injuries and were taken to a hospital.

The driver of the motorhome, identified as Julie Ann Rainbird, 53, of Winnetka, fled on foot after the collision, but she was arrested by the police and taken to into custody.
The crash remains under investigation.
