21 Sailors Injured after Fire Broke Out in Naval Ship in San Diego

San Diego, California (July 12, 2020) – At least seventeen people and four civilians were injured after a fire broke out in a naval ship docked at Naval Base San Diego on Sunday.

The U.S. Naval Surface Forces said the incident happened at about 2:30 p.m. at 3455 Senn St.

As per the report, 160 sailors were aboard the USS Bonhomme Richard when the fire broke out. San Diego firefighters responded to the incident.

The Chief of Naval Operations said twenty-one people were hurt in the incident.
