Bakersfield, California (January 5, 2021) – One of the three passengers who died following an alleged Dui car Crash on New Year’s Eve in Northwest Bakersfield has been identified as 20-year-old Devin Lee Atha.

The single-vehicle accident happened shortly after 11 p.m. in the 11700 block of Brimhall Road.

A white SUV operated by 20-year-old Adam Montgomery Teasdale, eastbound along the roadway, lost control and struck a tree in the center divider.

Due to the impact, three passengers riding in the back seat of the car were ejected.

Adam Teasdale Arrested Following New Year’s Eve DUI Crash 

All the three ejected victims, including 20-year-old Andrew Nicholas Ortiz and Atha, were pronounced dead at the scene.

Teasdale and another unidentified passenger in the front seat were hospitalized with minor injuries.

Meanwhile, police arrested Teasdale for gross vehicular manslaughter and DUI.

An investigation into the accident is underway.
