San Clemente, California (August 28, 2020) – Two soldiers were killed and three others were injured after a military plane crashed on San Clemente on Thursday.
According to the Army’s Special Operation’s Command, a Blackhawk helicopter crashed on San Clemente Island, about 70 miles west of San Diego.
The circumstances of the crash were not immediately established.
The Defense Department said two soldiers were killed in the crash. Three others were injured in the crash.
The identities of the deceased were withheld pending notification of next-of-kin.
