2 Drivers Seriously Injured in Jamul Car Crash on Highway 94 near Vista Sage Lane
Jamul, California (March 4, 2021) – Two people were seriously injured in a head-on collision that happened in Jamul on Thursday morning.
According to a report by the California Highway Patrol, the accident happened on Highway 94 near Vista Sage Lane at about 5:25 a.m.
A 20-year-old Chula Vista man was driving a 1999 Honda Civic westbound on the highway when he crossed into the eastbound lanes and collided head-on with a 2017 Subaru WRX driven by a 22-year-old San Diego man.
Both drivers were seriously injured in the accident and were transported to Sharp Memorial Hospital in San Diego for treatment.
The authorities said intoxication was not a factor in the collision.
No additional information about the accident was provided.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
