Two Police Officers Injured in Santa Monica Car Crash at 11th Street and Pico Boulevard

Santa Monica, California (December 28, 2020) – Two Santa Monica police officers were injured after a police chase ended in a traffic accident Saturday night at an intersection in Santa Monica, according to a local news source.
At about 8:32 p.m. Saturday, December 26, the California Highway Patrol received a report about the accident at the intersection of 11th Street and Pico Boulevard.
As per the report, the incident began when the police were chasing a vehicle with four burglary suspects.
When the pursuit approached the intersection of 11th Street and Pico Boulevard, the patrol car collided with the suspect vehicle.
Two Santa Monica police officers sustained non-life-threatening injuries in the accident. Their names and conditions were not immediately disclosed.
One suspect was booked into jail while three others fled the scene on foot. Authorities are still searching for the remaining three suspects.
No further details about the crash were immediately provided.
