Two Killed, Four Injured in Ocotillo Crash on Interstate 8
Ocotillo, California (November 10, 2020) – Two people were killed and four others were injured Sunday in a traffic accident in Ocotillo, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The deadly crash took place on Interstate 8 on Sunday, November 8.
The CHP said a 20-year-old man was driving a 2006 Toyota Sequoia on Interstate 8 when he made an unsafe turn, and as a result, the vehicle veered off the roadway.
The vehicle then slammed into the side of a mountain.
A 20-year-old passenger in the vehicle was pronounced dead at the scene. The 20-year-old driver was transported to Desert Regional Medical Center, where he later succumbed to his injuries.
Four other passengers in the vehicle, two other 20-year-olds, a 19-year-old and an 18-year-old, suffered unspecified injuries in the accident.
The CHP is investigating the crash.
