2 Hurt in Car Accident on 80 Freeway near Lagoon Valley Road in Vacaville
Vacaville, California (December 1, 2020) – Two people were injured in a car accident that happened in Vacaville on Tuesday morning.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident happened on Interstate 80 Freeway near Lagoon Valley Road.
A vehicle was traveling westbound at a high rate of speed when it collided with a FedEx tractor trailer.
The vehicle then spun and crashed into a Caltrans truck parked on the right-hand shoulder.
The driver and a passenger were injured in the accident and was transported to Kaiser Permanente Vacaville Medical Center with moderate injuries.
The collision resulted in the temporary closure of the westbound lanes on Interstate 80 Freeway.
No additional information about the accident was provided.
