2 Injured in Car Accident at Ramon Road and Thousand Palms Canyon Road in Thousand Palms
Thousand Palms, California (January 6, 2021) – Two people were injured in a crash involving a stolen vehicle in Thousand Palms on Tuesday afternoon.
According to a report by the California Highway Patrol, the accident happened in the area of Ramon and Thousand Palms Canyon roads at about 2:06 p.m. January 5.
The Riverside County Sheriff’s Department said the pursuit of suspects in a stolen vehicle started in the area of Ramon Road and Desert Moon Drive.
After a brief chase, the vehicle crashed for unknown reasons.
The driver and a second person sustained minor to moderate injuries and were transported to an area hospital for treatment.
A third occupant of the vehicle was unhurt.
No deputies were hurt in the accident.
No additional information about the accident was provided.
An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
