Salida, California (September 16, 2019) – Two drivers were injured in a traffic accident involving three vehicles in rural Salida area on Monday morning, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The collision happened at around 11:35 a.m. September 16 on Stoddard Road, just south of Ladd Road.

The CHP said a Chevrolet Suburban pulled out of the driveway of Grover Landscape Services and into the path of a semi-truck that was traveling northbound on Stoddard Road. Both vehicles collided.

The force of the impact pushed the semi into the southbound lane, where it collided with a Ford pickup that was stopped as the driver waited to make a left-hand turn into Grover.

The Suburban driver was ejected upon the impact and sustained moderate injuries. He was taken to Doctors Medical Center.

The driver of the Ford sustained minor injuries in the crash. The operator of the big rig was not injured.

Authorities do not believe rainy weather caused the crash.

There were no details provided regarding the accident. The CHP is investigating the cause of the wreck.
