2 Injured in Big Rig Crash on Highway 163 in Kearny Mesa
Woman, Child Hospitalized after Kearny Mesa Truck Accident on Highway 163 near Clairemont Mesa Boulevard
Kearny Mesa, California (November 28, 2019) – Two people were hospitalized Monday morning after a traffic accident involving a big rig on Highway 163 in Kearny Mesa, according to a local news source.
The crash happened shortly after 9:30 a.m. Monday, November 25 in the northbound lanes of Highway 163 near Clairemont Mesa Boulevard.
As per the report, a woman was driving her a Mazda on the northbound side of the highway when for unknown reasons, the Mazda spun out and crashed into a big rig.
2 Hurt in Kearny Mesa Major Truck Accident
The driver of the Mazda complained of labored breathing and was transported to Memorial Hospital. Her juvenile passenger sustained major injuries and was transported to Rady Children’s Hospital.
The truck driver was not injured in the crash.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
