Murrieta Girl Dies in Temecula Car Accident at Rancho California Road and Via Santa Rosa
Temecula, California (June 3, 2019) – A 15-year-old girl from Murrieta was killed Saturday evening in an alleged DUI two-car accident in Temecula, according to CHP.
The deadly crash was reported at about 6:20 p.m. June 1, at the intersection of Rancho California Road and Via Santa Rosa.
CHP said a 2015 BMW 328i was traveling westbound on Rancho California Road when it drifted into the path of oncoming traffic at a curve and collided with an eastbound 2005 Toyota Corolla.
Murrieta Teen Dies in Temecula Car Collision
A 15-year-old girl who was a passenger in the Toyota was pronounced deceased at the scene. Her identity was not immediately released.
The 18-year-old driver of the Toyota and an 18-year-old passenger were transported to Inland Valley Medical Center with major injuries.
The driver of the BMW was arrested on charges of driving under the influence of alcohol and vehicular manslaughter. He was also transported to Inland for treatment of major injuries.
Two other parties in the BMW were taken to the hospital with moderate to major injuries.
The California Highway Patrol is investigating the crash.
