Child Injured in La Jolla Pedestrian Crash at La Jolla Scenic Drive and La Jolla Mesa
La Jolla, California (November 14, 2020) – An 11-year-old child was hospitalized after beings struck by a car at an intersection in La Jolla, San Diego, on Friday evening.
According to a local news source, the accident happened at about 3:45 p.m. at the intersection of La Jolla Scenic Drive and La Jolla Mesa.
A 43-year-old man was pushing the child in a stroller when the child was struck by a car.
The child was injured in the accident and was transported to Rady Children’s Hospital in an unknown condition.
The man suffered minor injuries.
The driver stayed at the scene and cooperated with the authorities.
The intersection of La Jolla Scenic Drive and La Jolla Mesa was temporarily closed as the authorities examined the scene.
An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
