1 Seriously Injured in Multi-Vehicle Collision on Highway 44 near Dersch Road in Redding
Redding, California (June 1, 2021) – A multi-vehicle collision with major injuries was reported near Shingletown in Redding early Tuesday afternoon.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident happened at about 1:30 p.m. on Highway 44 near Dersch Road.
Three vehicles were involved in the crash. While the manner in which the collision occurred was yet to be established, the authorities said one person had to be extricated from a vehicle.
The victim is reported to have sustained major injuries and was transported to an area hospital for treatment.
No additional information about the crash was provided.
An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
