1 Killed in Car Accident on Highway 101 near Highway 85 in San Jose
San Jose, California (March 18, 2021) – At least one person was killed in a collision involving a big rig in San Jose on Wednesday night, according to the California Highway Patrol’s Traffic Incident Information Page.
The crash happened on northbound Highway 101 near Highway 85 at about 11:44 p.m. March 17.
A big rig was traveling on the highway when it collided with an SUV in unclear circumstances
The SUV reportedly became stuck under the trailer and caught fire after the collision.
One person was killed in the collision.
The identity of the deceased was not immediately disclosed.
The authorities shut down two lanes of the highway to facilitate an investigation.
An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
