Bicyclist Killed in Collision at South Rice Avenue and Fifth Street in Oxnard
Oxnard, California (February 2, 2021) – A bicyclist died after being struck by a vehicle in Oxnard on Tuesday morning, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The crash happened at about 8:13 a.m. in the area of South Rice Avenue and Fifth Street, also known as State Route 34.
A bicyclist is reported to have been struck by a black truck in unclear circumstances.
The CHP’s Ventura office and the Ventura County Fire Department responded to the incident and pronounced the bicyclist dead at the scene.
The identity of the deceased was not immediately disclosed.
No other information about the accident was provided.
