Pedestrian Struck and Killed by Vehicle on Highway 99 near 9th Street in Modesto
Modesto, California (April 17, 2021) – A man died after being struck by a car in Modesto on Friday night, April 16.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident happened at about 9 p.m. on Highway 99 near 9th Street.
A man had been standing in the center median when he stepped into a southbound lane and was hit by a passing Hyundai Accent.
The unidentified man was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident.
No additional information about the accident was provided.
The CHP is investigating the cause of the accident.
