Merced, California (July 15, 2020) –  A  man was killed in a motorcycle accident near Delhi in Merced County on Tuesday evening, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The accident happened on West Bradbury Road at Merced Avenue at about 5:22 p.m. July 14.

A 38-year-old Waterford man was riding a Kawasaki Ninja motorcycle when he collided with a Ford Escape SUV driven by 51-year-old Ralph Saxton, of Modesto.

The SUV rolled over, coming to rest on its roof.

Modesto and Merced area officers alongside crews with the Riggs Ambulance Service arrived at the scene and performed CPR on the injured rider.

Sadly, the unidentified rider succumbed to his injuries at the scene of the accident.

Saxton was unhurt.

No additional information about the accident was provided.

An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
