1 Killed in Car Accident on Highway 99 near Avenue 24 in Earlimart

Earlimart, California (May 9, 2021) – At least one person was killed in a car crash in Earlimart, Tulare County, early Sunday morning.
According to a report by the California Highway Patrol, the fatal collision happened at about 1:27 a.m. on Highway 99 near the Avenue 24 overcrossing.
A Chevrolet Malibu was traveling on the roadway when the driver allowed the vehicle to drift off the roadway and crashed into a commercial truck parked on the shoulder of the highway.
The Chevrolet ended up underneath the truck’s trailer and caught fire.
One person was killed in the accident.
The identity of the deceased was not immediately disclosed.
No additional information about the accident was provided.
The CHP were yet to establish whether drugs and alcohol were a factor in the crash.
