1 Killed in Pedestrian Accident on Del Mar Heights Road near Durango Drive in San Diego
Del Mar, California (April 10, 2021) – A man was killed in a pedestrian accident that happened near Del Mar in San Diego on Friday afternoon.
According to a report by the California Highway Patrol, the accident happened at about 2 p.m. April 9, on Del Mar Heights Road near Durango Drive.
A man in his 70s was walking across the road when he was struck by a 2004 Saturn Vue.
The man was seriously injured in the accident and was transported to an area hospital where he died while undergoing treatment.
The identity of the deceased was not immediately disclosed.
The motorist fled the scene but was located and arrested on suspicion of felony hit and run and other charges.
