One Killed, Five Injured in Castaic Accident on 5 Freeway near Templin Highway
Castaic, California (November 27, 2020) – One person was killed and five other people were injured early Friday morning in a multi-vehicle crash in Castaic, according to a local news source.
The deadly accident, which was reported at around 2:51 a.m., happened in the northbound lane of 5 Freeway, Just south of Templin Highway, the California Highway Patrol reported.
Authorities said the crash involved four vehicles, including a truck. Details of what led up to the collision at this time are unknown.

Firefighters along with the paramedics responded to the scene and extricated at least three people who were trapped in the wreckage. The freed victims were in critical condition, according to authorities.
The CHP said one person was pronounced dead at the scene. The name of the victim was withheld pending notification of next of kin.
Five other people sustained unspecified injuries in the wreck. Their current condition remained undisclosed.
The Nos. 1, 2, and 3 lanes of the northbound 5 Freeway were closed due to the accident.
An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
