42-Year-Old Duarte Man Killed, Two Injured in Alhambra Accident on San Bernardino (10) Freeway near Atlantic Boulevard

Alhambra, California (December 19, 2020) – A driver was killed and two other people were injured Friday evening in a traffic accident in Alhambra, according to a local news source.
The deadly crash was reported at around 5:15 p.m. Friday, December 18 on the westbound San Bernardino (10) Freeway near Atlantic Boulevard and involved three vehicles, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The CHP said a 2018 Nissan SUV rear-ended a 2015 Toyota, triggering a chain reaction crash that also involved a 2018 Ford.
The driver of the Nissan, a 42-year-old Duarte man, was transported to a local hospital where he later succumbed to his injuries. His name was withheld pending notification of next of kin.
The other two drivers, a 25-year-old Sacramento woman and a 26-year-old South Gate man, suffered minor injuries.
Alcohol or drugs were not considered a factor in the crash.
The accident remains under investigation.
