1 Dies, 1 Seriously Injured in Palo Alto Crash on U.S. Highway 101 near Embarcadero Road
Palo Alto, California (June 16, 2019) –One person was killed and another was seriously injured early Sunday morning in a wrong-way, multi-car crash in Palo Alto, the California Highway Patrol reported.
The deadly accident was reported at about 2:08 a.m. on northbound U.S. Highway 101, just north of Embarcadero Road.
CHP said a wrong-way car was heading southbound in the northbound lanes when it collided head-on with another car.

The wrong-way driver died in the wreck. The name of the victim has not been disclosed pending notification of family.
The driver of the vehicle traveling in the right direction sustained major injuries and was taken to a hospital. The current condition of the patient was unknown.
No one else was injured in the crash.
The CHP is investigating the crash.
